Since 1951, the Clearing House, later known as the World Service Office (WSO), has provided support to Al-Anon Family Groups in the US (including Puerto Rico and Bermuda) and Canada, in addition to serving as a resource for established and emerging structures internationally.
One of our bilingual Staff members (French or Spanish) is always available to offer a guided tour and increase your knowledge of the various services provided: Group Services, Group Records, Literature, Translation Services, Publications, Finance & Operations, Communication with the Public, Digital Strategy, Outreach to International Communities, etc.
Others simply prefer to be among old friends and spend time reviewing a collection of historical pieces in the Archives.
As a longtime member of Al-Anon…in process..It would be a pleasure to visit the WSO. I look forward to coming in the near future when the temps here reach 115, with high humidity.
Time a visit for Thursday to attend the Corporate Landing Al-Anon Group meeting in the WSO cafeteria from 6 pm to 7 pm. the A Okay Alateen Group also meets at the same time in Board Room A. Members of both groups usually have dinner at a local restaurant after their respective meetings.
I am a grateful Al-Anon member from India. I pray and sincerely wish to visit WSO soon.
I wish I could visit again. I live on the other side of the continent. I was there this summer and Joe from Archives gave me a tour. It is one of my most cherished memories from my lifetime. I met so many wonderful people and when I walked in the positive energy seeped through my body. Thank you so much for all the hard work you do.
We live on the east coast of Canada, and if we ever get a chance we will come to WSO in Virginia Beach for sure. Never knew we could do this!!! Thank you.
The Clearing House is how the World Service Office (WSO) used to be referred to. The WSO is located in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
