Beyond service in my Al-Anon Family Group, I have become actively interested and engaged in serving within the Alateen. Initially, I was invited to consider joining a team of Al-Anon Members in Alateen Service (AMIAS) who rotate monthly to ensure that the Alateens in our District are supported with an adequate number of Alateen Group Sponsors. While the annual certification process is rigorous, it makes sense to have accountability for the teens’ safety, and I have been able to use my administrative skills to help streamline some processes.
