Gratitude

When I focus on the things that I’m grateful for, my attitude changes dramatically. Even when everything seems like it will never be okay, almost every negative feeling goes away when I think positive. I’m grateful for my friends. I wouldn’t be here without them. I’m grateful for my parents and siblings. I don’t like them at times but they are the reason I found Alateen. The most grate­ful thing in my life is Alateen. Thanks to this program I have learned a lot about gratitude. All I need to do is look at the positive side of life and pay more attention about myself and not others. Going to Alateen has changed my life. Being grateful changes my attitude from negative to positive. Being negative doesn’t always help in situations. I think about all the people that have been there since day one. I know that tomorrow will be a better day if I stay positive and don’t let the little things bring me down. I know that I’m better than that. I can practice gratitude today by thinking positive and don’t let anyone or anything hold me back from becoming what I want to be in life and enjoy it to the fullest.
