Archives

The Archives team is responsible for storing, cataloging, digitizing, and preserving Al‑Anon’s history. The Archives at the World Service Office contain documents, meeting minutes, Conference Approved Literature, photographs, audio recordings, and more.

The historical record starts at the beginning of the organization and documents the milestones of growth toward the fellowship’s current presence in countries around the world. Special emphasis is placed on preserving the records of Al‑Anon’s founders, early groups, the beginning of the Clearing House, and the organization of Al‑Anon Family Group Headquarters, Inc. The Archives team receives research requests from members, professionals, and friends of Al‑Anon, which it manages and fulfills as they come in. The Archives motto is “Look to the Past to Protect the Future.”
