Before Alateen I was lost. I didn’t think anyone had the same experience as I did. I didn’t know what I was doing in life but Alateen helped me realize that I wasn’t alone in this journey. There were other people out there like me. The Alateen group made me feel like it was home. Something like I never really felt before. Alateen has directed me in the right direction.
Alateen members are awesome people! My mom struggles with addiction and I don’t get to see her for that reason. I didn’t have anyone to go except my dad and it was kind of hard to tell him things at that time. I needed a female role model to talk about girl things. I was kind of on my own. Joining Alateen was the best decision of my life. If it wasn’t for Alateen, I wouldn’t be where I am today.
