Two of Al-Anon’s PSAs that had the most airplays, “Jack” and “Samantha,” are being redistributed to television and radio stations throughout the US and Canada.
Would you be willing to contact the stations in your city or town and ask them to play our PSAs? Please reach out to your Area Public Outreach Coordinator. He or she can provide you with the PSA information for your Area, which includes the list of local stations that received the PSAs and the airplay report that shows which stations played them. The goals for this public outreach project are to:
- Thank all the stations that have already played the PSAs.
- Introduce the Al-Anon/Alateen program to the stations that haven’t and ask them to consider airing the PSAs.

Our group, Road to Recovery AFG has started a Public Outreach project which we anticipate will be ongoing for at least the remainder of the year. We are focused on Washington County, Arkansas, High School Counselors, Public Health Units, Attorneys, Drug Courts, Juvenile Courts, Physicians, etc. We stayed after our regular noon meeting and put Packets together which included: 2018 AFA, Fact Sheet for Professionals, Did You Grow Up With.
