During September, awareness campaigns in the US and Canada celebrate recovery by highlighting the benefits of prevention, treatment, and sobriety. Al‑Anon members can raise awareness about family recovery by sharing Al‑Anon and Alateen information and content on social media, such as:
- Al‑Anon Members’ Stories, video interviews with members on our YouTube channel
- Al-Anon Faces Alcoholism articles
- Member articles found in the “Newcomers” section of the Al‑Anon website
Here are some resources to help you get started:
- The new Public Outreach Toolkit—ideas that can be implemented at the individual, group, District, or Area levels
- Protecting your anonymity on social media
- Protecting Al-Anon trademarks and copyrights
