It’s Election Time—Who Is Eligible to Stand for Delegate?

District Representatives (DRs)—and others who are eligible according to each Area’s autonomy—may stand for Delegate in their Area.

Did you know that the following members are not eligible to stand per Al‑Anon policy, and that the World Service Conference (WSC)—not the World Service Office (WSO)—has approved these policies?

Employees in Al-Anon Services, such as Al-Anon members who work at the WSO or at an Al‑Anon Information Service (AIS) and/or Literature Distribution Center (LDC), and members of Al-Anon who are also members of A.A. are not eligible to serve as Delegate.

Please share this information prior to your Election Assembly so that all Al‑Anon members voting or standing for the position of Delegate are aware of these Al‑Anon policies as found in the current “Digest of Al-Anon and Alateen Policies” section of the 2022-2025 Al‑Anon/Alateen Service Manual (P-24/27).
