Many international Structures, that is, Al-Anon service entities outside of the US and Canada, publish monthly or quarterly newsletters in print or online. Many of these small offices struggle to find enough articles to fill their readers’ needs. The quality of Inside Al‑Anon articles and the ease of reprinting them makes them attractive to newsletter editors. In countries around the world, the articles are translated and reprinted with the WSO copyright and credit line. To date, articles are regularly translated/reprinted in English, Spanish, Polish, and Norwegian newsletters.
So, the next time you hear that Al-Anon is a worldwide fellowship, you’ll know you can believe it. And the next time you have an experience worth writing about, please consider sharing it with The Forum editorial staff. You never know where it will end up and how far it might reach.
The word count limitations depend on the publication. You can find more information at https://al-anon.org/for-members/members-resources/literature/magazines.
I’m an Al Anon from Honduras and we use this instruments a lot, specially with newcomers that don’t have the books yet. Our PR comitee is planning to print a quarterly newsletter and will use it too. Thanks for all your help!
