The Al-Anon/Alateen groups are the basic components of the Al-Anon structure. It is in Al-Anon/Alateen group meetings where Al-Anon ideas are discussed as members share their experience, strength, and hope with each other. The fellowship structure exists for the purpose of helping group members. “In time, we see that our own recovery actually depends on the well-being of our group and of Al-Anon as a whole. For our own sake, we must consider our common welfare.”* Al-Anon resources provide shared experience in applying the spiritual principles from our Traditions and Concepts of Service to group practices and timely information to help groups grow and thrive.
