Have you ever considered applying to serve as a member of the Board of Trustees or wondered about what’s required?
In 2021, the World Service Conference discussed this topic and identified that potential candidates were seeking to understand detailed information about the role, the required time commitments, and the skills necessary to serve. This conversation led to the development of an updated Trustee Role Description and new Trustee application, which the Board approved in January 2024.
The new Trustee application includes an Al‑Anon service resume, asks skills- and principle-based questions of those applying, and highlights the agreements members make when joining the Board. The new Trustee application is now available online.
