Your story can help a potential newcomer shift their thinking from, “Maybe there is a problem,” to, “I need help because there is too much drinking.” A story for families of alcoholics can be about one of the following topics:

  • “I didn’t want to go to Al-Anon.”
  • “It’s not my problem; why do I need help?”
  • “What was my first meeting like?”
  • “How is Al-Anon helping me?”
