Introduction
In 2008, I began the “Using the Concepts in Our Personal Lives” blog as a way of conveying to the fellowship the Concepts workshop that I had led in many Areas and countries. It was not supposed to be a definitive, authoritative view but merely my personal understanding of the Concepts in a way that would invite you to share your own insights.
This blog is a continuation of that basic idea with some minor exceptions. While the World Service Office will continue to post an introductory sharing on each Tradition monthly, any member may submit a sharing for posting as the opening to the monthly discussion.
As members, we all look for personal insights when individuals share how they use a particular Tradition in their lives to enrich and promote harmony in their relationships–whether at home, at work, in service, or elsewhere in their personal lives.
As this is a discussion blog, it is not Conference approved nor should it contain quotes from Conference Approved Literature. Each of us wants you to share your thoughts as they relate to your recovery so that we can take the ideas that appeal to us and apply them to our personal situations.
If you would like a more in-depth discussion of how the Legacies fit together, you can visit the Concepts blog, now archived on the Members’ Web site, and read the introduction there. I hope each of you finds additional help here to strengthen and support your recovery as together we continue to walk this path of hope supported by Al-Anon Family Groups.
If you would like to send a sharing for consideration as the opening sharing, please send to wso@al-anon.org Attn: Ric—Traditions blog. It would be helpful if you would submit your sharing as soon as possible but no later than the first day of the preceding month. We will notify you prior to posting if your sharing is selected. As always, members will still be able to share their thoughts during the month that the Tradition is live on the Web.
