  1. Miriam says:

I don’t know how to be a wife to my husband, I need to change, .

  2. Nancy says:

A couple hours ago I made a phone call looking for help for my adult daughter and her drinking. I have been focused on getting her to stop drinking, to no avail. It was suggested that I attend Al-Anon and get help and support for myself, and that that might encourage my daughter to consider it. The light bulb went on: I realized the point is to move the focus off my daughter and put it on me — ie. to move the focus from where I have no control to where I do, where I can make changes.

So, in looking for meetings & information, I found your podcasts. Ms. Montgomery’s statement — about “…being obsessed with someone else’s life” hit the nail on the head and “pounded the idea home.” That’s it exactly for me — the big key! I thank you so much for these podcasts. Being able to hear others share their experiences right here, right now, where I am, brought immediate comfort, encouragement and hope.

P.S. While I was listening to your podcasts, etc., and typing this, my daughter said, “I feel a little better and I’m going out to a meeting.”

    Thank you for this website!
